PSW Students Embark on a Journey to Becoming Healthcare Heroes

At the Chartwell Westbury Placement Facility, our PSW (Personal Support Worker) students began their orientation with an eagerness to learn and grow. It was their first day, and already they are making strides towards becoming the next generation of healthcare heroes.

The students received a comprehensive introduction to the facility and the various roles they will play as Personal Support Workers. They learned about the importance of maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Additionally, they gained insight into the fundamentals of patient care, including vital sign monitoring, personal hygiene, and administering medication.

But it wasn’t just about theory and memorization. The students were given hands-on experience, which allowed them to practice their newly acquired skills. They engaged in simulated activities such as providing bed baths, assisting with mobility, and administering medication. It was an opportunity for them to ask questions and receive feedback from experienced healthcare professionals.

We are proud to witness the passion and dedication our PSW students have for healthcare. They are the driving force behind the next generation of healthcare heroes. Their commitment to learning and growing will equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to make a difference in the lives of their patients.

As the program continues, we anticipate that our students will continue to grow and make progress towards becoming outstanding healthcare professionals. We can’t wait to see them thrive and positively impact the lives of others.

In conclusion, we are thrilled to have started the PSW orientation at the Chartwell Westbury Placement Facility. The first day was a great success, and we look forward to the journey ahead. It is clear that our PSW students are on their way to becoming healthcare heroes.
