KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
UMS Healthcare College is dedicated to continuous improvement across various aspects, especially in enhancing the support provided to our students in their pursuit of employment and elevating the overall experience of those studying at our institution. To assess our progress and gather valuable insights, our graduates may receive calls from Forum Research Canada, a research company engaged by the Ministry of Colleges & Universities. This process is well-communicated to our students, ensuring transparency and cooperation. The Graduate Satisfaction Survey conducted during these telephone calls plays a vital role in evaluating UMS Healthcare College’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and enhancing our commitment to excellence.
Assessing Achievements Post-Completion
What is the graduation rate of students in private career colleges? Do graduates successfully secure employment that aligns with their training? What percentage of students manage to repay their student loans? Starting in 2013, private career colleges in Ontario, including UMS Healthcare College, have established collaborative partnerships with the Ministry and other stakeholders to collect the necessary data to address these critical questions. This data serves as the foundation for the creation of measurable metrics known as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). These KPIs offer a clear view of the post-graduation outcomes for students in vocational programs offered by private career colleges. They not only aid prospective students, including those at UMS Healthcare College, in making well-informed decisions regarding their postsecondary education but also enable educational institutions to identify areas of excellence, areas requiring improvement, and opportunities for advancement.
THE KPI PROCESS
In accordance with the provisions of the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005, the Superintendent of Private Career Colleges has issued a policy directive outlining five Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) specific to Private Career Colleges (PCCs):
